HOW IT'S MADE
These pendants require a multi-step creative process. I start by choosing a wax seal
stamp and creating a stamping of the design in clay. Pewter does not fill detail as well
as poured sterling silver so I sometimes have to enhance the design by adding more
texture or depth to ensure a good pour. Once the clay stamping is ready, I have to
make a mold of the stamping from a high-heat silicone. It usually takes about 24 hours for the mold to cure. Once the mold has cured, it gets heated up in the oven (to ensure the pewter flows well before hardening). The mold gets dusted, and then the molten pewter gets poured into the casting mold. After it has hardened, the pendant enters the finishing process which involves sanding, polishing, and patina. Each pendant is then strung on a 22” stainless steel chain.

My name is Celeste and I am the artist behind Raven Hart Designs. Being a self-taught artist and a bit of an eclectic gives me the freedom to express my ideas in so many different ways. I am a lover of nature, magick, and the macabre and you can find the essence of one or all in every piece I create.
Some of my more unique designs include embellished apothecary jars, grimoires,
journals, athames, and mystical creatures created in polymer clay. When I am in the
mood to play with fire, I use my metalsmithing and wire-wrapping skills to create
amulets, talismans, and altar tools that are designed to protect, enhance, and
strengthen one’s intent.
No matter the medium, or style of art, every piece I create is infused with a little bit of
magick and enchantment of its own.
